First check the CPSC website for recalled items. Recalled items will not be allowed in the sale. (Sorry, no drop side cribs)
Only good condition clothes, toys, etc will be accepted
Sort your clothes by gender and size to make tagging faster. (Be sure they are clean, free from stains or holes and smell fresh---Tip- Use Febreeze to refresh stored clothes
Put outfits together
Bag multiple items (onesies, socks, etc.)
Be sure all toys, shoes, equipment are clean and have all pieces.
Price your items for what you would be willing to pay for them!
Brand names and better quality items will sell for more than inexpensive brands.
Decide if you want to discount your item on the last day. Many items sell on half price day.
The tagging system is easy to use!
Simply register for the sale then log in as a consignor.
You can then enter your items for sale; listing a brief description (in case tag gets removed) and the price. (Remember price it according to whether you would pay that price for it.) You decide if you want it to sell for a discount on the last day.
Print tags onto cardstock (paper rips too easily) and attach to clothes with safety pins or a tagging gun (purchase optional). Tip- If using a tagging gun or large safety pins be sure to insert into clothes tag or seam so as not to create a hole.
Hang on hanger (hook facing left-wire hangers work best as they take up less space and do not break like plastic ones). Be sure to attach pants to shirts with a safety pin so they stay together. If using wire hangers, safety pin pants to top/shoulder of hanger.
Why put clothes on hangers?
Hang your clothes so the hook is facing toward the left. This makes it easier for people to see the items as they are browsing the racks. Clothes on hangers sell better because the items stay neater and are easier to see.
Need Hangers? Try places that sell apparel. Often they throw away the hangers. Also, contact dry cleaners to see if they will give/sell you some and thrift stores sometimes have hangers. You can also contact Arley at wearitagainkids@gmail.com
Place toys with pieces in a clear ziplock bag and tape closed. Tape tag to outside of bag.
Bundle smaller items together (onesies, socks, hair accessories) in a clear ziplock bag and tape tag to the outside of bag
Drop off your clean, tagged items (clothes need to be on hangers). Be sure to sign up for a drop off time and allow yourself time to place your items in the appropriate location so they will sell!
